"The ability to record at home whenever I wanted allowed me to go into a wide variety of different musical directions," ha spiegato Springsteen. Tracks II: The Lost Albums è disponibile in edizione limitata nei formati nove LP e sette CD, con il packaging originale per ciascun disco finora inedito e un libro rilegato in tela con copertina rigida di 100 pagine, che comprende rare foto d'archivio, note di copertina su ogni album perduto a cura del saggista Erik Flannigan e un'introduzione personale al progetto firmata dallo stesso Springsteen.
