"Libertango" serves as the lead single from the upcoming album 7 Tangos, a compelling tribute to Piazzolla's genius. The album is structured with three classic tangos on Side A, and three nuevo tangos on Side B, separated by a striking duet reinterpretation. Each piece remains faithful to Piazzolla's original compositions while being transformed through Divine Hand Ensemble's distinctive instrumentation - substituting, for example, one violin with five, or a single piano with dual harps. The result is a sound that honors the past while boldly reimagining it. The album includes seven of Piazzolla's authentic works - from universally celebrated favorites like "Libertango" and "Adiós Nonino," to lesser-known gems such as "Chiquilín de Bachín" and the haunting "12 Monkeys." "My musicians poured their hearts into this recording," says Mano.
