HIS MOTORBIKE, HER ISLAND

Smarting after a breakup, young Kawasaki enthusiast Koh (Riki Takeuchi, in his film debut) took notice of Inland Sea island girl Miyo (Kiwako Harada), who seemed fascinated by his beloved bike, as well as by him. As their romance blossomed, however, her wanting to push the envelope as she learned to ride herself left him fearing for their future-and for hers. Nobuhiko Obayashi's affecting romance also stars Noriko Watanabe, Tomokazu Miura, Takahiro Tamura. 90 min.
