The Tokyo Blues Blue Note Tone Poet Edition – il tour giapponese di Horace Silver del 1962 segnò profondamente il pianista, che dedicò il suo album The Tokyo Blues ai suoi fan giapponesi. Con il suo quintetto formato da Blue Mitchell, Junior Cook, Gene Taylor & John Harris Jr., Silver unì un "Japanese feeling in the melodies with the Latin feeling in the rhythms." Questa edizione stereo Blue Note Tone Poet è stata prodotta da Joe Harley, masterizzata da Kevin Gray dai nastri master analogici originali, stampata su vinile da 180g presso RTI e racchiusa in una copertina gatefold tip-on de luxe.
