He wrote the book The Soulful Divas and in recent times has run the SoulMusic label. The selection is drawn from the vaults of Warner-owned labels: ATCO, Atlantic, Calla, Cotillion, Elektra, Reprise, Warner Bros. And more. Alongside rarities there are huge hits including Aretha's 'Rock Steady', Chaka Khan's 'I'm Every Woman', Candi Staton's 'Young Hearts Run Free' and Rose Royce's 'Wishing On A Star'.
