FATBACK BAND - HOT BOX

Released in 1980, "Hot Box" got to #7 on the R&B LP chart and also peaked at #44 in the Billboard album chart. It spawned two of the band's biggest and best-known hit singles, 'Gotta Get My Hands On Some (Money)' and 'Backstrokin',' which climbed to #6 and #3 on the R&B singles chart in 1980. 'Backstrokin' also got to #41 in the UK chart and whilst the LP did not chart here, sold strongly. As well as these two funk classics, "Hot Box" also featured the beautiful ballad 'Come And Get The Love' as well as 'Street Band', 'Love Spell' and the eponymous title track. Incredibly, "Hot Box" has never been reissued on vinyl since it was originally released back in 1980. Ace Records are delighted to offer this remastered version to funk fans around the world.
