Part of the Light Mellow presents J-FUSION Renaissance Color Vinyl Reissue Series Vol. 3, this limited first pressing reissue revives a sought-after Japanese crossover/fusion title on clear orange vinyl (63-D01), a color chosen to complement the original jacket artwork. Originally released by Carioca, the group that evolved from Kiyoshi Hasegawa's regular session band, this second album showcases their Brazilian music roots in samba and bossa nova while expanding into jazz, pop, and rock to create a more accessible crossover sound. Featuring the five core members alongside guest musicians Shuichi "Ponta" Murakami (drums), Kenji Omura (guitar), Hiroki Inui (keyboards), Shigeharu Mukai (trombone), Jake H. Concepcion (saxophone), and Bread & Butter (chorus), the album also includes a cover of an Ivan Lins composition. Produced by Hidenori Taga and newly remastered and cut by Katsutoshi Kitamura (Mixer's Labo), this collectible reissue highlights a celebrated chapter in Japan's fusion renaissance.
