With "I Put A Spell On You", Nina Simone released one of her most popular albums in 1965, which also contains some of her best-known songs. Her great version of the title track in particular caused a sensation at the time. While Screamin' Jay Hawkins had given the song an ironic touch in the original, Nina transformed it into a rousing love song. Another highlight is the Broadway number "Feeling Good", which Mary J. Blige sampled for her song "About You" in 2006.
