Description

MOGG,PHIL & THE SIGN OF 4 - DANCING WITH ST. PETER (180G)

Led by UFO founding member Phil Mogg and now Reissued. First released 2002. Fully remastered. In addition to touring and recording with the reformed UFO, singer Phil Mogg assembled his new band MOGG & THE SIGN OF 4. Together with guitarist Jeff Kollman (Glenn Hughes, MSG, Mogg/Way), drummer Shane Gaalaas (Glenn Hughes, Uli Jon Roth) and bassist Jimmy Curtain, Mogg released the group's only album Dancing With St. Peter soon after UFO's Sharks album in 2002 on the reactivated Track Record label, established in 1967 by The Who's managers Kit Lambert and Chris Stamp. Bluesier and more laid back than UFO's offerings, Dancing With St. Peter is still no sedate affair. The eleven album tracks sparkle with melody and combine guitar based rock and soulful blues perfectly, driven by personal passion of the four highly skilled musicians. Now fully remastered, Dancing With St. Peter, whose title track was covered by UFO as a bonus track for the 2009 digipak edition of the album The Visitor, is available on Repertoire Records a must-have for all fans of Phil Mogg's strong voice and songwriting.
