NIGHT RANGER - NEVERLAND

Night Ranger were one of the most successful rock combos of the early 1980s, navigating a path through the MTV era via a winning combination of bracing, hard-rocking material that had a strongly melodic base, but also having a real talent for the 'Power Ballad' - their 'Sister Christian' hit of June 1984, which peaked at number five in the Billboard Hot 100, was their defining entry in this genre. The first five Night Ranger albums sold in excess of ten million copies worldwide, after which the band split to pursue solo projects. After a 10 year hiatus, the original line-up reconvened in 1997 to record their seventh album Neverland. Sadly the album failed to revive the band's commercial forces. It did, however, set them back on the road and on record, and they're still out touring and performing today.
